Overview

The Wilson Combat Bullet Proof full-size recoil spring kit is designed to improve cycling, overall operation, and service life in 5-inch full-size 1911 pistols chambered in .45 ACP. The kit includes an upgraded stainless steel guide rod (.250-inch diameter), a Shok-Buff recoil buffer, and a heavy-duty 17-pound flat-wire recoil spring. The innovative flat-wire spring design allows for a longer free length with additional coils while maintaining tension better and lasting significantly longer than traditional round wire springs, offering an average service life of up to 40,000 rounds. It is recommended for use with standard-pressure .45 ACP ammunition, such as 230-grain hardball or standard-pressure JHP self-defense loads, and is fully compatible with standard recoil spring plugs.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
