Overview

The Wheeler Scope Ring Alignment and Lapping Kit (30mm) is designed to ensure precise scope installation, preventing damage to scope tubes and improving accuracy. The kit includes two precision alignment rods that verify if the front and rear rings are perfectly aligned, allowing the user to diagnose and correct horizontal or vertical issues before final mounting. Additionally, the kit provides a lapping bar handle and a 1 oz jar of 220-grit silicon carbide lapping compound. Lapping the inside of the rings increases surface contact between the rings and the scope tube, helping to prevent the scope from shifting under heavy recoil and removing machining marks that could scratch the optic's finish.
