Overview

Wheeler Lapping Compound is a high-quality silicon carbide abrasive paste used for lapping firearm bores, bolt faces, and bolt lugs to achieve a smooth final fit. Because lapping a bore can increase pressure due to grit-impregnated bullets, light loads are recommended in strings of five up to a maximum of twenty shots per grit. Using progressively finer grits sequentially will result in a significantly smoother bore.
