Overview

Wheeler Lapping Compound is a high-quality silicon carbide abrasive paste designed for lapping the bore of a firearm, bolt face, bolt lugs, and achieving a smooth final fit. When lapping a bore, pressure may increase due to grit-impregnated bullets, so light loads are recommended using five-shot strings up to a maximum of twenty shots per grit. Repeating the process with progressively finer grits yields a significantly smoother bore.
