Overview

The Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor is a precision-engineered component manufactured from A2 tool steel using an EDM process to achieve tolerances of +/-.0001". Designed for improved reliability and feeding, this extractor features a precise hook point positioned .005" closer to the cartridge rim than factory parts for positive extraction. It is hardened to Rc 58-60 to maintain its edge under impact and resist the edge-rolling issues common in stamped steel or titanium alternatives. A key feature of this part is a factory-machined chamfer on the bottom edge, which improves feeding by preventing the extractor from catching on the next round as it rises from the magazine. This component is compatible with the Ruger 10/22 and 10/22 Magnum rifles, as well as the Ruger Mark II, Mark III, Mark IV, and 22/45 pistol lines.
