Overview

Underwood Ammo’s 9mm Luger +P+ Xtreme Defense ammunition is engineered for personal defense and law enforcement applications. Each round features a 90-grain solid monolithic copper projectile with optimized nose flutes designed to create a permanent wound cavity significantly larger than traditional expanding bullets. This design ensures consistent performance and deep penetration—up to 18 inches—even when passing through barriers such as wallboard, sheet metal, or automotive glass. This ammunition is loaded with flash-suppressed powder to help preserve night vision and is designed for reduced recoil. The rounds are housed in reloadable nickel-plated brass casings, which offer enhanced corrosion resistance, smoother feeding, and ease of cleaning compared to standard brass. Each box contains 20 rounds of lead-free, high-velocity ammunition with a rated muzzle velocity of 1550 fps and 480 ft/lbs of muzzle energy.
