Overview

The Traditions Vortek StrikerFire is a break-action muzzleloading rifle featuring a 28-inch fluted and tapered chromoly steel barrel with a stainless Cerakote finish. Outfitted with a 1:24" VAPR twist rate, this faster twist stabilizes bullets, increases accuracy, and expands available bullet options for extended-range shooting. The patented StrikerFire system eliminates the external hammer, allowing for a faster lock time, reduced overall weight, and closer scope mounting to the bore. The rifle is cocked by sliding the striker button forward until it locks, and can be safely de-cocked using the recessed de-cocking button or automatically by opening the action. It features a TAC2 two-stage competition-style trigger, a dual safety system, a 1-piece Accelerator Breech Plug, and a 209 primer ignition. The black synthetic stock incorporates a redesigned recoil-reducing buttpad, Hogue comfort-grip overmolding, and sling swivel studs. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics, and the rifle includes a solid aluminum ramrod along with a Quick-T Ramrod Handle that functions as a palm saver, T-handle, and cleaning rod.
