The Thompson Center Encore ProHunter XT is a single-shot muzzleloading rifle chambered in .45 caliber, featuring a 28-inch stainless steel barrel and a durable black synthetic stock. Built on Thompson Center's inline platform, the design positions the hammer directly in line with the barrel for improved ignition reliability and faster lock times. Key features include the Quick Load Accurizor false muzzle design with a counterbored crown to simplify loading and enhance accuracy, the Speed Breech XT hand-removable breech plug utilizing a simple 90-degree rotation, and a solid aluminum Power Rod with an integrated, low-profile pivoting T-handle. The rifle supports either 209 primer or Firestick ignition and is compatible with standard .45 caliber saboted bullets and conical projectiles.
