Overview

The Taylor's & Company Uberti 1858 Remington conversion cylinder allows steel-frame black powder revolvers to fire 45 Colt (Long Colt) centerfire ammunition. Crafted from certified 4150 steel for the cylinder body and 4140 steel for the removable rear plate containing the firing pins, this drop-in unit converts cap-and-ball revolvers for cowboy action shooting using black powder or black powder equivalent cartridges with lead bullets. No FFL is required for purchase. This cylinder is strictly for use in steel-frame revolvers and must not be installed in brass-frame models or used with modern high-pressure ammunition.
