Overview

The Strike Industries GRIDLOK-LITE-8.5-BK is a 1-piece free-float handguard designed for the AR-15 platform to minimize weight while offering a cost-effective alternative to the original GRIDLOK. It features the patent-pending Quick Rail Detach system, allowing the handguard to be removed in seconds without tools for gas block adjustments or suppressor maintenance. The redesigned quick-detach latch includes a locking button for more secure engagement. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black finish, the handguard pairs with a barrel nut machined from high-strength 7000 series aluminum. It incorporates a built-in flip-up front backup iron sight (BUIS) and an integrated 360-degree free-swivel QD socket at the rear. Rear tabs with set screws help center the top rail to the upper receiver for proper alignment. The M-LOK accessory mounting system is positioned along the 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11 o'clock positions. The front cut is engineered to accommodate suppressors up to 1.57 inches in diameter as well as Strike Industries muzzle devices.
