Overview
The Steyr Pro Hunter II is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm-08 Rem, featuring a 20-inch cold hammer-forged barrel and a 4+1 capacity. The rifle is equipped with a Boyds Prairie Hunter stock and the Steyr Safe Bolt System (SBS), a three-position safety operated by a wheel switch on the receiver tang. This system allows for a fire mode, a safe mode that disables the firing mechanism, and a second safe level that locks the bolt down against the stock. The rifle utilizes a two-stage magazine securing mechanism, allowing the operator to lock the magazine in a position that enables hand-loading individual rounds without chambering from the magazine. The action includes a 1:8.70-inch twist rate and a two-stage trigger. With an overall length of 45.30 inches and a weight of 7.70 pounds, this model features a black Mannox finish.
