Overview

The Stern Defense Rapid Attach Buttstock Adapter (RAB-AD) allows you to quickly attach or remove your buttstock or pistol brace in seconds without any modifications, significantly reducing the length of your firearm for compact storage and transportation. To detach, simply push the button and twist counter-clockwise 30 degrees; to re-attach, align the two pieces, push in, and turn clockwise 30 degrees where the steel locking mechanism automatically secures the adapter. Designed for gas piston, direct impingement, direct blowback, and radial delayed blowback systems in the AR platform, it features a robust yet lightweight 7075 aluminum body with hard coat anodized finish and steel internals. Additional features include a buffer retainer to keep the buffer weight in place while disassembled, a buffer spacer compatible with standard-length AR-15 bolts, a weight of 3.5 ounces, and an added 1.25 inches to the length of pull. Note that the tail of the BCG must be .950 inches or smaller (not compatible with BCGs featuring a flared boss at the tail).
