Overview

The Starrett 799 Digital Caliper offers a 0-6" measuring range with a resolution of .0005" (0.01mm). It features a hardened stainless steel body with long-wearing carbide measuring faces. The unit provides knife-edge measuring contacts for both inside and outside dimensions and includes a thumb-operated fine adjustment roll. It displays measurements in either inches or millimeters with instant conversion and allows for zeroing at any position. Powered by a single 3-volt CR2032 battery, which is included, the caliper offers approximately 3,500 hours of battery life and an automatic shut-off feature after 5 minutes of inactivity. It provides a linear accuracy of +/- .001" or +/- .03mm and comes with a fitted plastic storage case.
