Overview

The Springfield Armory 1911 Operator AOS is a semi-automatic tactical pistol chambered in 9mm Luger with an 8+1 capacity. Built on a forged carbon steel frame with an integral Picatinny rail, extended beavertail, and black Cerakote finish, it is engineered for duty and self-defense applications. The pistol features a 5-inch forged stainless steel match-grade barrel with a fully supported ramp and a 1:16 twist, paired with a matching black Cerakote optics-ready carbon steel slide featuring forward cocking serrations. The Optic System (AOS) mounting plate interface supports popular reflex optics while integrating a tactical rack rear sight that provides a visible co-witness with the tritium front sight. Additional features include VZ G10 grips, an ambidextrous safety, a skeletonized trigger, and a GI-style recoil system. Each pistol ships with two 9-round magazines equipped with bumper pads.
