The Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy enhances the proven 1911 platform with high-capacity double-stack performance. Chambered in 9mm Luger, this semi-automatic handgun features a forged carbon steel frame and slide finished in durable Coyote Brown Cerakote, complemented by a modular polymer grip. At the core of its match-grade accuracy is a 5-inch stainless steel bull barrel featuring an 11-degree crown and a 1:16 twist rate, paired with a two-piece full-length guide rod. The Prodigy is optics-ready, utilizing the Agency Optic System (AOS) plate configuration with an integrated rear sight and a fiber optic front sight for an intuitive sight picture. The pistol includes a skeletonized trigger, an ambidextrous safety, a beavertail grip safety, and an integrated accessory rail for mounting lights or lasers. It ships with two magazines (one 17-round and one 20-round).
