Overview

The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Combat V2 carbine-length barrel is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and machined from 4150CMV cold hammer forged steel with a black QPQ nitride finish. Designed with modern shooter requirements in mind, the V2 profile features increased chamber support and extra material at the rear to help offset the weight of forward-mounted accessories like lights, lasers, and suppressors. The gas journal length is shortened to optimize weight distribution and measures .750" with a deep dimple for secure gas block installation, meaning fixed front sight bases will not fit and low-profile gas blocks must be used. The barrel features a 1:7" twist rate and is properly gassed for reliable operation with or without a suppressor.
