The Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 is a full-size, striker-fired duty and defense pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. Built on a black polymer frame, it features an extended, rigid embedded stainless steel chassis running from the front of the frame rearward to reduce flex and torque during firing, contributing to shot-to-shot consistency. The pistol includes a 4.25-inch stainless steel barrel with a 1:10 twist and a durable, corrosion-resistant black Armornite finish. Key performance features include the M2.0 flat-face trigger, which promotes consistent finger placement and a straighter rearward pull, complemented by a crisp trigger break and an audible and tactile reset. The grip is set at an optimal 18-degree angle for a natural point of aim and features an aggressive texture paired with four interchangeable palmswell inserts (S, M, ML, L) to tune hand-fit and trigger reach. Additionally, the slide is cut for optics (C.O.R.E.) and accepts popular red dot footprints via mounting plates, co-witnessing with the tall steel white dot three-dot sights. This model is equipped with a manual thumb safety, a Picatinny-style accessory rail for lights and lasers, forward slide cocking serrations, and a patented take-down lever and sear deactivation system that allows disassembly without pulling the trigger. It has a capacity of 17+1 and ships with two 17-round magazines.
