Overview

The Smith Enterprise Vortex Flash Hider Kit is designed specifically for the Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 carbine. This three-piece kit includes a Vortex flash eliminator, an M14 recoil compensator, and a Gas Lock front sight base. The components are machined from ordnance-grade 8620 steel and feature a matte black mil-spec phosphate finish. The Gas Lock replaces the factory front sight and castle nut configuration, tightening the gas cylinder unit for improved performance. It includes a sight dovetail compatible with standard USGI, National Match, or Tritium front sight posts. The Vortex flash hider utilizes a patented 15-degree, right-hand helical flute design to effectively eliminate muzzle flash. The Vortex flash hider and M14 recoil compensator are interchangeable and thread directly into the Gas Lock's 9/16"-24 threads. No crush washer is required or recommended for the installation of this sight.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
