Overview

The Sierra Tipped GameKing bullet is a 175-grain, .277 diameter projectile featuring a polymer tip for enhanced ballistic uniformity. Designed for heavy-duty big game hunting, these bullets are optimized for use in 270 Winchester and various magnum cartridges. Due to their length, a barrel twist rate of 1:8 or faster is required for stabilization. The bullet offers a sectional density of 0.326 and features a boat tail design and a tuned ogive to achieve high ballistic coefficients, resulting in efficient flight and high impact velocities at extended distances. Constructed with a tough copper jacket and a specialized lead core, the Tipped GameKing is engineered for controlled expansion and deep penetration. The open pocket located beneath the polymer tip is designed to facilitate instant expansion upon impact, while the jacket wall thickness helps the bullet retain weight.
