Overview

The Sharps Bros. MB47 (SBAK05) is a semi-automatic, stripped lower receiver for AK-47 platforms chambered in 7.62x39mm. Patterned after original milled Bulgarian receivers, each 1.8-pound unit is machined from a solid 15-pound block of US-sourced 4140 steel and heat-treated to an RC41 hardness, featuring a black oxide finish. It incorporates an integrated 1913 Picatinny stock interface for folding stock options and includes a barrel journal reamed to .9065 post heat treat. The receiver is compatible with milled AKM parts kits or standard stamped AKM parts kits, though minimal fitting may be required for top covers and safeties on stamped kits.
