Overview

The SCCY CPX-1 is a double-action-only (DAO) semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, designed for concealed carry while offering a comfortable, firm grip. It features a 3.1-inch barrel with a 16:1 right-hand twist and a receiver constructed from heat-treated 7075 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. The Zytel polymer frame incorporates ergonomic finger grooves and an integral recoil cushion on the backstrap. Its stainless steel slide includes a Zytel overmolded polymer extension for improved operation. For safety and handling, the CPX-1 is equipped with an internal hammer featuring an inertial firing pin to prevent accidental discharge, along with an external thumb safety with an integrated frame-molded guard. The sighting system consists of 3-dot sights with a windage-adjustable rear, paired with a smooth 9-pound trigger pull. The pistol ships with four total magazines: two 10-round magazines with finger extension bases installed and two flat magazine bases.
