Overview
The Savage Arms 1911 Government is a single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity. Built for demanding use, it features a forged stainless steel frame with a beavertail and a serrated stainless steel slide. The 5-inch stainless steel barrel is machined from billet and features an 11-degree target crown. Operational features include a dual recoil spring system with a GI-style guide rod and barrel bushing, a lowered and flared ejection port cut for live round ejection, a nitride-coated titanium firing pin, a fully machined tool steel sear and disconnector, and a stainless steel hammer. It is equipped with an ambidextrous slide lock safety, VZ G10 grips, and tritium sights. The pistol includes two magazines.
