Overview

The Savage 1911 Government is a semi-automatic, single-stack pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It features a 5-inch target crown stainless steel barrel and a serrated stainless steel slide, both finished in black nitride. The matte stainless steel frame includes an extended beavertail and is fitted with black/dark gray VZ G10 grips. The pistol is equipped with an ambidextrous slide lock safety and a thumb safety. Internal features include a dual recoil spring, a fully machined sear and disconnector, a stainless steel hammer, and a nitride-coated titanium firing pin. The ejection port is lowered, flared, and cut to ensure reliable ejection of live rounds. The sight configuration includes a yellow tritium Mega Dot front sight and a Novak Lo-Mount adjustable tritium rear sight. The pistol has an overall length of 8.45 inches, a capacity of 8+1 rounds, and includes two magazines.
