Overview

The San Tan Tactical Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group for the 6mm ARC is a high-performance component designed for shooters requiring superior reliability. The carrier assembly is constructed from case-hardened 8620 steel and features a flared rear design to reduce carrier tilt during recoil. It includes sand cuts to improve function in heavily fouled firearms, and the increased mass ensures proper gas pressure and dwell time for improved extraction, particularly when using short-barreled rifles or suppressors. The bolt assembly is machined from 9310 case-hardened steel and features CNC-ground external surfaces for a precision fit. The "trumpet" area behind the gas rings is precision-ground to reduce carbon buildup, aiding in longevity and cleaning. This assembly is shot-peened and finished with a Black Nitride coating. Additional features include a hardened 4340 cam pin, a Mil-Spec 8740 steel firing pin, enlarged forward ports, and a Mil-Spec extractor spring and O-ring. The unit is MPI and HPT tested to ensure structural integrity.
