Overview

The Samson Evolution Series 7-inch handguard is a free-float rail system designed for the AR-15 platform. Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum with a matte black hard-coat anodized finish, it features a faceted 1.8-inch outer diameter and a 1.56-inch inner diameter, allowing it to accommodate most suppressors underneath. The handguard attaches to a standard barrel nut using a two-piece 303 stainless steel thermal bushing and dual locking tabs to prevent rotation under stress. The system includes a continuous Mil-Spec Picatinny top rail and comes with two 2-inch and one 4-inch customizable rail sections that can be mounted at various positions, including 45-degree offsets. The top rail is relieved to facilitate use with aftermarket piston conversion systems. The Evolution handguard is designed for easy installation without the need for specialized tools, as it utilizes the factory barrel nut.
