Overview
The Ruger Gunsite Scout is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 308 Winchester with a 16.5-inch cold hammer-forged, free-floating barrel. Featuring a stainless steel finish and a walnut stock, it is designed for durability and precision. The rifle includes a forward-mounted Picatinny rail for optics, integral scope mounts machined into the receiver, and an adjustable ghost ring rear aperture sight paired with a protected blade front sight. This rifle utilizes a 10-round detachable box magazine with a push-forward release located in front of the trigger guard. The action features a non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor and a three-position safety. To ensure shooter comfort, the soft-rubber buttpad comes with three 1/2-inch spacers for adjustable length of pull. Additional features include a rugged one-piece stainless steel bolt, sling swivel studs, and a glass-reinforced nylon trigger guard and magazine well.
