Overview
The RIX Optics Storm S3R thermal riflescope is a compact, rangefinding optic designed for predator and hog hunting. It pairs a 384x288 VOx sensor (12 µm, 50 Hz, <25 mK NETD) with a 35mm F1.0 objective lens, providing a fixed 3.5x base magnification, 1-4x digital zoom, and a detection range up to 1,969 yards. Images are displayed on a 1024x768 AMOLED screen. The unit includes an integrated laser rangefinder capable of ranging up to 1,312 yards with ±1.09-yard accuracy, an intuitive single-button operating system, a weather mode for rainy and foggy conditions, and Recoil Activated Video (RAV) functionality. Powered by a replaceable 18650 battery for up to 4 hours of runtime, the S3R features 32GB of built-in storage for photo and video recording, integrates with the Rix+ smartphone app, and is housed in an IP67-rated chassis with Picatinny rail mounting that withstands up to 1000g/6000J of recoil.
