Remington HyperSonic Steel 20-gauge 3-inch shotshells fire a 7/8-oz payload of #2 steel shot at a muzzle velocity of 1,700 feet per second. Utilizing a patented Xelerator Wad two-stage ignition system, a hotter primer ignites a small powder charge to move the payload slightly forward before the primary powder charge releases, maintaining safe chamber pressures while achieving high velocity. This load reduces target lead and delivers increased downrange pattern energy for enhanced waterfowl lethality.
