Redding Profile Crimp Dies are designed to provide a tighter, more uniform roll-type crimp for handgun cartridges, specifically .38 Special and .357 Magnum. This crimp is applied after the bullet has been seated to the correct depth in a prior operation. These dies were originally developed to solve the inconsistent crimping often found with magnum handgun cartridges. These dies are not intended for cartridges that headspace on the case mouth. By applying a consistent roll crimp, the die helps improve bullet pull uniformity and can contribute to tighter groups at the range.
