Redding Reloading Equipment .30-06 Springfield Rifle Taper Crimp Die

Overview

The Redding .30-06 Springfield Taper Crimp Die provides a uniform crimp that secures the bullet in the cartridge case mouth. Originally developed for handgun cartridges that headspace on the case mouth where conventional roll crimping is unsuitable, the taper crimp is ideal for bottleneck rifle cartridges used in semi-automatic firearms. It holds the bullet firmly in place to prevent depth changes caused by recoil, without working the case mouth as severely as a roll crimp or affecting the overall cartridge length. Note that this die requires the use of quality case lubricant.
