Overview

The RCBS X-Die Small Base Sizer for 308 Winchester is engineered to eliminate the need for repeated trimming after an initial trim of .020" off the maximum case length. Featuring a specially designed mandrel with an expander ball and decapping pin, the die utilizes close tolerances to prevent neck wall thickening during the resizing process. This design allows bottleneck cases to stabilize in length below the maximum trim length without sacrificing accuracy or case life. This small base sizer is specifically required for ammunition intended for semi-automatic, automatic, pump, slide-action, and some lever-action rifles. It sizes the case body to a smaller diameter than standard dies and sets the shoulder back further to ensure reliable chambering in these firearm platforms. The shellholder is sold separately.
