Overview

The PTG Remington 700 Bolt Face Lapping Tool is designed to improve rifle accuracy by ensuring the bolt face is square to the chamber centerline. The tool is threaded to install directly into the receiver threads. To operate, apply polishing compound to the mandrel face and use a 3/8-inch electric drill to turn the mandrel against the bolt face. This process should be completed prior to final headspacing. The lap features a 0.475-inch diameter, making it suitable for cartridges with similar case head dimensions, such as the .243 Win, .308 Win, and .30-06. The center shaft measures 4 inches in length.
