The PTG Receiver Blueprinting Tap (1.0725"-16) is designed for use in bolt-action receivers, including Remington 700 short action, Howa, and Sako models. When paired with a compatible blueprinting reamer (sold separately) and precision ground pilot bushings, this tool helps ensure concentricity with the bolt raceway. The tap features oversized thread dimensions, requiring the cutting of new barrel threads to match. It is also suitable for converting metric-threaded actions to inch-threads, allowing these receivers to be rebarreled using standard lathes.
