Overview

The PTG Range Rod is a steel gunsmithing tool designed for setting up unchambered barrel blanks in a lathe. Featuring a tapered profile and a removable pilot, the rod is inserted into the bore so that a small section protrudes, allowing the pilot to center itself inside the unchambered blank. This enables the machinist to use the rod as an index point to ensure the barrel blank is perfectly centered and inline prior to any machining operations.
