Overview

The PTG Pilot Bushing is a steel tapered tool designed for centering action tooling, specifically for bolt raceway reamers, receivers, and taps. To use, the operator selects the diameter that fits the existing raceway and inserts the raceway reamer from the front of the receiver. As the material is removed during the cutting process, the bushings push out, allowing the reamer tool to self-pilot on its major diameter. Once the raceway is cut to size, the reamer can function as a mandrel matched to the receiver.
