Overview

The PTG Pilot Bushing is a steel tapered tool designed for center tooling actions when utilizing bolt raceway reamers, receiver reamers, and taps. To operate, select the proper pilot bushing diameter that fits into the existing raceway, then insert the raceway reamer tool from the front end of the receiver with one bushing positioned on each side of the ejection port. As material is cut away, the bushings push out of the raceway, allowing the tool to self-pilot on its major diameter. Once cut to size, the reamer functions effectively as a match-machined mandrel inside the receiver.
