Overview

The PTG Do It Yourself Reloading Die Blank is an unpiloted 7/8"-14 threaded blank intended for creating custom dies or wildcat cartridges. The blank has a 3.875-inch length and a 3/4-inch width. It comes pre-drilled with a .250-inch pilot hole and requires a die reamer (sold separately) to achieve the final cartridge specifications. The upper end requires drilling and tapping to accept standard internal die parts, such as seater stems and decapping/expander units, which can be sourced from manufacturers like RCBS. The die body is made from standard die material and does not generally require heat treatment for normal use.
