Overview

This Palmetto State Armory AR-15 upper assembly features a 16-inch 4150V Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel with a nitride finish, a 1:7 twist rate, an M4 barrel extension, and a carbine-length gas system. The barrel is complemented by an F-marked front sight base, an A2 flash hider, and Flat Dark Earth Magpul MOE carbine-length handguards. Built on a MIL-SPEC forged 7075-T6 A3 hard-coat anodized upper receiver, the unit includes a full-auto profile bolt carrier group with a mil-spec Carpenter No. 158 steel bolt—shot-peened with a hardened and staked gas key—and an 8620 steel carrier that is chrome-lined and phosphate-coated. A Magpul MBUS black rear backup sight is also included.
