Overview

The Palmetto State Armory 16" Mid-Length 5.56 NATO Rifle features a 16-inch chrome-moly vanadium steel A2 profile barrel with a 1:7 twist rate, a mid-length gas system, an M4 barrel extension, a low-profile gas block, and an A2 flash hider. The upper receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum, hardcoat anodized, and equipped with a forward assist, a dust cover, and a 13.5-inch PSA M-Lok free-float handguard. Inside, it houses a full-auto profile bolt carrier group with an 8620 steel carrier and a shot-peened, mil-spec Carpenter 158 steel bolt with a gas key hardened to USGI specifications and graded, staked screws. The lower receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish, housing an Enhanced Polished Trigger (EPT), a Magpul grip, and a 6-position mil-spec buffer tube fitted with a MOE carbine stock. The rifle comes complete with a Magpul MBUS front and rear backup sight set.
