Overview

The PSA 14.7-inch mid-length upper assembly is built around a Cold Hammer Forged (CHF) 5.56 NATO barrel made from "Machine Gun Steel" (chrome molly vanadium), the same material used in the M249 and M240 machine guns. The barrel features a 1:7 twist rate, an M4 barrel extension, and a mid-length gas system for smoother recoil. It is chrome-lined for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance, and it has been high-pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected. This assembly includes a 13.5-inch M-LOK billet handguard, a .750-inch low-profile gas block, and a pinned and welded A2 flash hider, bringing the barrel to the legal 16-inch length without requiring NFA documentation. The upper receiver is a forged 7075-T6 aluminum A3 unit, hard-coat anodized with machined T-marks. This upper does not include a bolt carrier group or charging handle.
