Overview

The Proof Research Carbon Fiber Prefit Barrel is designed for match-grade accuracy and exceptional durability in a 6.5 Creedmoor caliber. Built with a 24-inch length, Sendero contour, 1:8-inch twist rate, and 5-groove rifling, it features an in-house produced 416R stainless steel core that is double-stress relieved, drilled, contoured, reamed, cut rifled, lapped, and borescope inspected. Surrounded by aerospace-grade carbon fiber utilizing a helical wrapping pattern, this barrel is engineered for optimal thermal performance, allowing longitudinal thermal diffusivity to rapidly dissipate heat, cool faster, and maintain point of impact over extended strings of fire.
