The Proof Research Carbon Fiber Barrel Blank is chambered in 6.5mm (.264 caliber) with a 24-inch length, a Sendero contour, and a 1:8-inch twist rate. The core is produced in-house from double-stress relieved 416R match-grade stainless steel that is drilled, contoured, reamed, cut-rifled, lapped, and borescope-inspected for consistency. The barrel features an aerospace-grade carbon fiber wrap applied in a proprietary helical wrapping pattern. This construction leverages high longitudinal thermal diffusivity to rapidly dissipate heat away from the bore and through the barrel wall, allowing the rifle to cool faster and maintain match-grade accuracy and durability over extended strings of fire.
