Overview

The Proof Research 6.5 Creedmoor bolt action barrel is a 20-inch, match-grade, pre-fit drop-in barrel designed specifically for the Sig Cross rifle platform. It is manufactured from double-stress relieved 416R stainless steel that is drilled, contoured, reamed, cut-rifled, and lapped to ensure consistent accuracy. The barrel features a carbon fiber wrap, which provides high specific strength, stiffness, and efficient heat dissipation to maintain performance over long shooting sessions. This 5-groove barrel utilizes a 1:8 twist rate and is threaded 5/8-24 tpi. Its drop-in design allows for home installation and headspacing without the need for a gunsmith.
