Overview

The Proof Research AR-style barrel in 6mm ARC delivers match-grade accuracy and exceptional durability for AR-platform rifles. Produced in-house from double-stress relieved 416R stainless steel, this 16-inch barrel is precision-drilled, reamed, single-point cut rifled, and twice hand-lapped to ensure consistent internal dimensions. To maximize thermal performance and reduce overall weight, the full-profile stainless steel blank is wrapped in high-strength, aerospace-grade carbon fiber using a proprietary resin matrix. This carbon fiber composite construction efficiently diffuses and dissipates heat through the wall of the barrel, allowing it to maintain accuracy over extended strings of fire while withstanding demanding operational environments. The barrel features a 1:7.5 twist rate, a .750-inch gas journal diameter, threaded muzzle, and a black carbon fiber finish.
