It is constructed from a 416R stainless steel barrel blank that is turned down and wrapped in high-strength, aerospace-grade carbon fiber impregnated with a proprietary matrix resin. This design reduces weight compared to traditional steel barrels of a similar contour while improving heat dissipation, reducing harmonic vibration, and maintaining match-grade accuracy. The barrel features a 1:8 twist rate.
