Overview

The Otis Technology Pro+ AR-15 Lock Block is a specialized bench tool designed to securely hold AR-15 upper receivers in a standard bench vise during maintenance, such as barrel removal and installation, muzzle device work, gas block adjustments, hand guard changes, and stuck barrel nut removal. Crafted from 1018 steel with a durable manganese phosphate finish, the tool features locking lugs that engage directly with the barrel extension. This directs applied torque to the barrel extension rather than the aluminum upper receiver, providing a stronger hold and minimizing the risk of twisting or marring. Designed primarily for mil-spec receivers, the lock block includes a bronze bushing to accommodate slightly smaller internal receiver specifications and ensure compatibility with most AR-platform rifles. Simple to use, the tool is locked into a standard bench vise at the desired working angle, allowing the upper receiver and barrel to slide easily onto the block.
