Overview

The Nowlin Ramped 1911 Government Barrel is a 5-inch stainless steel barrel designed for .40 S&W. Machined from 416R bar stock and heat-treated to 40 Rockwell C, it is built to provide improved function and case head containment for high-pressure loads. The kit includes a pre-fit stainless steel barrel bushing, a link, and an oversize hardened link pin. Gunsmith fitting of the bushing O.D. to the slide I.D. may be required.
