The Midwest Industries Optic Rail Shell Holder is engineered specifically for Smith & Wesson 1854 lever-action rifles. Constructed from hard-coat anodized 6061 aluminum with a matte black finish, this all-in-one unit provides a Picatinny rail for mounting red dot sights or scopes while maintaining a channel that allows the use of factory iron sights when no optic is attached. The assembly includes three Midwest Industries Universal Shell Holders that can be positioned vertically or horizontally to store up to six rounds of ammunition. Nylon-tipped stainless steel set screws protect the firearm's receiver during secure installation.
