Overview

The Midwest Industries Alpha AK Railed Top Cover is a precision-engineered replacement dust cover designed for modern AK-pattern rifles, specifically those utilizing the Midwest Industries ALPHA series handguards. This component allows for optic and accessory mounting without requiring permanent modifications to the firearm. It features integrated Picatinny rail sections for mounting optics and maintains the traditional hinge function of the dust cover. The cover is built to provide an accurate return-to-zero solution for existing AK platforms, utilizing two aluminum and two steel stability struts for a rigid, secure lockup. It is compatible with the factory rear sight, maintaining a lower 1/3 co-witness sight picture. Finished in Flat Dark Earth (FDE), this anodized aluminum component is corrosion-resistant and made in the U.S.A. Note that this top cover is not compatible with other Midwest Industries generations or products from other manufacturers; it is specifically designed for use with MI AK Alpha Series handguards and most AKM pattern rifles with a rear trunnion width up to .440".
