Overview

The Mesa Tactical 8-Shell SureShell Side Saddle is a matte black shotshell carrier designed to mount to the left side of the receiver on 12-gauge Remington 870, 1100, and 11-87 shotguns. Milled from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, the carrier is bead-blasted and mil-spec hard coat anodized for a rugged, non-glare, and corrosion-resistant finish. The unit's receiver mounting scheme utilizes steel fasteners threaded into steel pins for a secure attachment to the host shotgun. The mounting plate features an integrated window over the shotgun's serial number location to simplify armory inventory processes. Each carrier includes high-temperature adhesive-backed die-cut rubber gaskets to protect the shotgun's finish. Designed for professional use, the SureShell features elastomer shell retention; shells should be removed during long-term storage or armory checkout periods to prevent elastomer deformation.
